Anders Fleming | Musician | 2017

Anders Fleming was born and raised in Nyack, New York; a suburb of New York City. The son of Irish musician Sean Fleming, Anders was exposed to an eclectic mix of music going to see his father play at a very young age. Fleming credits his father’s drummer, Steve Holley (Paul McCartney, Elton John, Joe Cocker), as his biggest influence.  At the age of 9, he began to play in his older brother’s band, The Standing Spokes and at the age of 13 Fleming joined New York City based indie rock band, Regret the Hour. By the age of 16 Fleming was out on the road with his father playing Irish music at various clubs and festivals along the east coast. As he began to record with his father, his playing was confused for that of Steve Holley’s. At 17, Fleming met songwriter and producer Jase Blankfort (Glint). Fleming joined Glint as the only other member. Alongside Blankfort, they have collaborated ever since on Glint, and other projects Blankfort has produced. Fleming has since gone on to record with producer Greg Talenfeld (Pavement, The Walkmen, Moby), as well as Glint, Regret the Hour, Sean Fleming, BATYA, Emerald, Jesus on the Mainline and Andrew Combs. Fleming currently resides in Nashville, TN, developing Glint and contributing to the Nashville music community as a multi-instrumentalist session player.
