Batya (bah-TEE-uh) is a 19 year old singer-songwriter from the suburbs of New York City. In early winter of 2016, Batya was introduced to artist and producer Jase Blankfort (Glint). To explore Batya’s lush angelic voice, Blankfort brought on longtime collaborator, producer Jordan Lehning (Caitlin Rose, Andrew Combs). By spring Batya was in the studio alongside Blankfort and Lehning to write and record her cherubic debut album. “The incredible experience of making this record was a healing process and response to some of the toughest obstacles in my life…tragedy, grief and hardship. This is my soundtrack to self-discovery and gaining strength from pain and loss…”

After completing production on her debut album What's My Name, Batya developed her aesthetic with Fort Hillsner and enlisted Jase Blankfort to direct a music video for the title track "What's My Name." Blankfort continued his story with a follow-up video for "Turn The Page" which premiered on Stereogum.
